Keno May Not Be Coming to Ohio
Keno might not be headed to Ohio after all, on Wednesday lawmakers put a damper on Governor Ted Strickland's plans to offer Keno as part of the Ohio Lottery. At least one senator has already said that he would introduce new registration to ban the game and others like it.

Keno is a game where players try to match anywhere from 10 to 20 random numbers from a field of 80 numbers, this game is currently be criticized as a casino style game and as yet it hasn't been approved in Ohio.

Strickland announced earlier this year that he was offering the game as part of the Ohio Lottery. Under the plan the move could generate about $73 million dollars that would help prevent cuts to the state's education budget and more.

But Senator Ron Amstutz says that the game would target those who can't afford to play. "I'm going to ask my colleagues to align themselves with the little people that make this state the great state that it is," Amstutz said. "It's not advisable to suggest that our citizens step outside for a cigarette break, then come in and have a drink and enjoy a series of four minute keno fixes."
