According to recent reports from Bloomberg.com many online casino operators say that online bingo games are expected to bring in the majority of revenue growth over the next five years in the online gambling industry.

The report showed that online bingo is going to be the major catalyst of growth for the online casino industry. According to Phil Fraser of Leeds, the United Kingdom has the most developed online bingo market in the world. The number of websites have grown to 245 as of June, 2008 from only 17 in 2004.

Spain is the second most competitive market and they grew from 6 sites in 2007 to 40 sites currently. The United States doesn't have an online bingo market due to the effects of the UIGEA, a bill that censors online activity.

But even with the ban online bingo companies in Europe and abroad are still profitably targeting international players. The large growth in popularity of online bingo worldwide has dwarfed the need for US players.

"We would love to market our online bingo games to US players", said Alfred Connaughy, an online bingo marketing analyst who began his career in the industry back in 1995.

"The reality is we have a strong and growing market worldwide that we need to focus on. Unfair trade circumstances in the United States have forced us to limit our international marketing, but I believe we are holding up well", he added.
