A recent survey has found that instead of going out and about a lot of the ladies in Leeds are staying at home and playing online bingo instead. The stigma of a little old lady sitting in a bingo hall hunched over her bingo card, marking numbers off is long gone as more people from around the world, including both genders, all ages and cultures are now playing bingo online.

This is largely due to the facet that online bingo and new technology is now brining bingo into the homes of millions of bingo players 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Online bingo is a place where the doors never close and players are able to find a game that suits them whenever they want and not the other way around as it used to be when playing at land based bingo halls.

The survey was conducted by the 888 Ladies Bingo and it found out that many of the ladies from Leeds were logging in for a game of online bingo rather then going to the gym, 22 percent of the ladies that were surveyed confessed to this fact. While 12 percent also confessed that they would rather play online bingo more each week then have sex.

The Vice President of Brand Marketing from 888 Ladies, Matt Robinson said, "The stereotype of the traditional OAP bingo player is truly dated. Today's online players are independent, professional women who enjoy all the fun of the game but on their terms. With today's sites you are as likely to find gaggles of girls getting together for a natter in a bingo chat room as you are down at a Leeds wine bar".
